Printmaker and Illustrator
Working from her home studio in Sudbury, Suffolk, Beth Knight works as a printmaking artist creating original lino cut artwork along side freelancing as a wildlife illustrator.
“Creating and wildlife have been consistent interests and passions from childhood, developing my skills in accurately capturing the natural world from a young age by observing and sketching around my childhood home in Mid Wales”
Beth’s passion for wildlife is reflected in her eco friendly business ethos, seeking to use responsibly sourced and recycled or recyclable materials
Reduction lino cuts inspired by landscapes
During her time at university Beth learnt
the craft of lino cut printmaking and has recently evolved this from a hobby to becoming a printmaking artist, specializing
in the ‘reduction’ printing method she produces small print editions inspired by
her local Suffolk scenes and also the wilds
of Wales where she grew up. Her images convey the spirit of the natural world and
the history and story of the landscape.
Wildlife illustration specialist
Beth’s career as a wildlife illustrator began after gaining her BA Hons degree in Graphic Design and Illustration in 2009.
Using pencils, pen and watercolours she produces composite and spot illustrations for various wildlife publications including The Wildlife Trust magazine as well as illustrated maps for interpretation panels and leaflets.
